The shobhayathra was flagged off by offering a prayer to the chariot of Gomatha.

The yathra culminated at Government Model Primary School where the valedictory programme was inaugurated by Pandavapura Bebi Mutt Durdandeshwara Mutt Trinethrananda Shivayogi Swamiji.

Arameri Mutt Shanthamallikarjuna Swamiji said that indigenous cattle must be safeguarded because indigenous cattle are the base for organic farming. Go Yathra Zonal Convener Manjunath said that awareness is being spread in all the villages by volunteers on need for conservation of indigenous cattle. He said that as many as a crore signatures will be collected to pressurise the government to bring law to ban cattle slaughter.

Mysore Adichunchangiri branch Mutt Pontiff Somnatha Swamiji, Yathra Taluk President G L Nagaraj delivered keynote address. MLA M P Appachuranjan, Zilla Panchayat former president K P Chandrakala, ZP former member S N Narasimhamurthy, Yathra Taluk Welcome Committee President Jemcy Ponnappa and others were present.
