FAPS, SJIHS in final

St Joseph’s Indian High School are through to the final of the KSCA Cup under-16 inter-school Div I tournament on virtue of claiming the first-innings lead in their two-day match against Ebenezer Residential School here.

St Joseph’s edged past Ebenezer’s first innings total of 275 before being bowled out for 289. Ravi Kumar was the star for St Joseph’s with a score of 86. In the other semifinals between Frank Anthony Public School and Bishop Cotton Boys School, the former advanced into the summit clash by also taking the all important first-innings lead.

Brief scores: Ebenezer Residential School: 275 all out in 84.4 overs (Deepak Yadav 60, Rohan Mayakar 52, Munim Mehdi 36, Sudhanshu Sonkar 32, Chinmaya M 25; Adhithya Reddy 4-49, Sai Rahul 3-62, Rishab Jain 2-47) and 67/5 in 12 overs (Prajwal Pavan 3-37, Vishnu Jain 2-26) drew with St Joseph’s Indian High School: 289 all out in 89.5 overs (Ravi Kumar N 86, Prajwal Pawan 38, Shalok Gangatkar 42 n.o., Mounth BA 65; Chinmaya M 2-67, Deepak Yadav 2-84, Reshab Belawadi 2-40). 

Bishop Cotton Boys School: 172 all out in 49.4 overs (Lochan Appanna 54, Tanmay Valmik 51; Aditya Garg 5-40, Kamran Hashmi 2-26, Vinay Murugesh 2-10) and 213/5 in 62 overs (Lochan Appanna 68, Saksham Kaul 55, Jeshwanth Acharya 31) drew with Frank Anthony Public School: 226 all out in 82.4 overs (Anchit Ammappa 54, Nitesh Madan 31, Kushal Paramesh 4-29, Saksham Kaul 4-43, CR Aiyappa 2-54).
