<p>The cultural committee of SJR Degree College for Women had organised an inter-class competition — ‘Unity in Diversity’ — the representation of various states of India, in the college, recently. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Each class was assigned one Indian state to be represented in terms of their culture, heritage, historical background, food, ethnicity, etc in their respective class rooms. <br /> Twenty Indian states were represented by 20 classes across BA, BSc, BCom, BBM, BCA streams in a unique way. The students displayed a wide variety of the authentic traditional cuisine of their respective states. <br /><br />The students came dressed in the traditional attire, exhibited their culture in the form of weddings and welcomed the visitors. <br /><br /> They also exhibited models and charts of places of tourist attraction, heritage buildings and important personalities of each state. <br /><br />Meenakshi, department of history, SJR College, Anand Rao Circle; Pratima, Department of Kannada, SJRR College and Pushpa, Department of Kannada, SJR PU College were the judges of the event.
