Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), will hold roadshows in Bangalore on March 15 and 16 to canvass for the fledgling party’s candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Kejriwal will arrive here on the morning of March 15 and hold roadshows along with the party’s candidates in select areas. The following day, he will hold a Jan Sabha or public meeting, the venue of which has not been selected yet. He is also planning to address rallies in Chikkaballapur or Doddaballapur towns.

But before Kejriwal arrives in Bangalore, the AAP will release the first list of its candidates for the general elections, AAP spokesperson Mahantesh Arali said on Sunday.

The second list would be released by Kejriwal himself. The candidates are being finalised. The party will field candidates in almost all the 28 constituencies in the State and has already begun door-to-door canvassing, he added.

Arali, however, denied that the AAP would field freedom fighter H S Doreswamy and social activists S R Hiremath and R Balasubramaniam in the elections.

Hiremath and Doreswamy are not inclined to contest because of their age, he added. Doreswamy is 96 and Hiremath 69.
