Nadal coach's clinic

Francis Roig, a coach of World No 1 Rafael Nadal, will be conducting a three-day clinic for budding players and tennis enthusiasts in the City in May.

Spaniard Roig, who accompanies Nadal for 12 weeks in a year and also trains top players like Alberto Costa, Alex Corretja, Feliciano Lopez, Fernando Verdasco, Marcel Granollers, Tommy Robredo, Teimuraz Gabashvili and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, is being brought by Bulldog  Sportz Management.

During the three-day clinic, Roig will conduct 12 hours of on-court tennis training followed by player assessment, technical correction, strategies and mental preparation.

During the evenings, he will be conducting seminars for parents, coaches, tennis enthusiasts and tennis federation members.

Apart from being the founder and technical director of Barcelona Total Tennis (BTT), Roig coached the Spanish team to Davis Cup success in 2009.
