2 kids fall to death from seventh floor of building

Two children, including a 4-year-old boy, today died after they fell from seventh floor of an under construction residential complex in the district, police said.

The incident took place when Meen (7) and Yanur (4) were playing on the seventh floor a building in Crossing Republic area here, they said.

The fathers of both children are masons and they were present at the seventh floor.

"When both children were playing on the seventh floor of the under-construction building, the duo suddenly fell, leading to their instant death on the spot. Meen's father Mansur Ali and Yanur's father Aslam were also working on the seventh floor," said a senior police officer.

Police said deceased's families have filed a written complaint, adding that they were probing if builder was responsible for the incident.
