Dudu Omagbemi scored in his fourth consecutive game since his return to India as Salgaocar Football Club coasted to a 2-0 victory over Mumbai FC at Tilak Maidan in an I-League game on Sunday.

Dudu joined Salgaocar Football Club during the international transfer window, and since the I-League resumed last month, Salgaocar have been virtually unstoppable, winning all their four matches. In all these games, Dudu’s goal has been a permanent fixture.

On Sunday, Mumbai FC seemed like they would give Salgaocar a fright as they kept the ball but were left to pay for defensive lapses in the end. Gilbert Oliveira opened the account in the 10th minute and Dudu netted the second goal in the 45th minute, capitalising on a defensive lapse. The second half also saw Salgaocar having the better share of exchanges but were not able to penetrate into the rival defence although they came with few dangerous raids, Mumbai FC defence stood well to keep the ball away and limit the damage.

At Shillong, Rangdajied United earned their first ever back-to-back victory in I-League with a smashing 4-0 triumph over United SC, moving them out of the relegation zone.  All four goals were scored in the second half, with Kim Song Yong putting the hosts into the lead, followed by Ranti Martins and a brace from T Lalnunpuia. Rangdajied had a slew of opportunities in the first half, but either through poor execution or bad luck, they were unable to score.

Ranti Martins was the star for the hosts, creating several chances against his old team.
