MBA student among four held for murder

The Rajajinagar police have arrested an MBA student along with three others in connection with the murder of an electrician.

The arrested are: Rakesh (27), employed with a private finance firm, Lochan Kumar (25), an MBA student at Brindavan College , Ravichandra Nayak (21), a videographer and Pradip Bhat (21), an unemployed youth, said police.

According to police, the arrested persons, on Tuesday night assaulted the deceased, Suresh, when he was walking alone on 5th Main Rajajinagar, and fled the spot. Passersby noticed Suresh bleeding profusely and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Earlier that night, Suresh, an electrician and a resident of Mariappanapalya went to a bar with his friends in Second Block, Rajajinagar. Rakesh and his friends were in the same bar and Suresh's friends asked them to move a bit so that they could sit.

Rakesh’s group did not give Suresh and his friends space to sit. This led to a verbal duel between the two groups, but the situation was brought under control by the customres and waiters at the bar, police said.

The police started collecting information about the incident and Suresh's friends told the police about the incident in the bar. They also recognised a few people who were involved in the brawl and after questioning, they confessed to the murder, said police.
