Michelle Williams to play Marilyn Monroe

The 'Brokeback Mountain' star who is bringing up her three-year-old daughter with Ledger, Mathilda Rose, has been chosen to play the blonde pin-up in the new movie 'My Week With Marilyn', reported Daily Mail online.

The film will document Monroe's time filming the 1957 movie 'The Prince and The Showgirl' with Laurence Olivier and is based on a diary kept by the film's assistant director Colin Clarke.

Director Simon Curtis and producer David Parfitt picked the 29-year-old to play Monroe, but are still waiting for the Oscar-nominated star to agree.

The shooting for 'My Week With Marilyn' is due to begin in London in June next year.
