'I don't want to work simply for money'

He is known for his negative  role in Dil Se Di Dua...Saubhagyavati Bhava?, for his dancing in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and now Karanveer Bohra is hogging the limelight for his entry into Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi-Darr Ka Blockbuster.

“The experience was amazing,” says Karanveer.

Throwing a comic punch on his wife who also participated in the show, he says, “Teejay thought she will have a good honeymoon time with me in South Africa. But thanks to Khatron...everything turned out to be the opposite for her. It was a torture.”

Karanveer bursts out into laughter. Perhaps, it was for the first time, the activities in Khatron... made him experience the "feeling of drowning."

“I don’t know how to swim, but being a part of the show I had to do an underwater stunt. I was gasping for air. I felt as if it was the last day of my life. Even the chopper stunt made me and Teejay scared,” says Karanveer, who will be seen in the episodes to come.

“It was a nerve-wracking experience as if you are bidding adieu to the world for the last time,” says Karanveer, expressing that the show tested his endurance and also made him more close to the adventurous person hidden inside him.

“We all live a protected life where we are pampered a lot. Such thrilling activities are never a part of our life. Even if we travel we don’t ever imagine doing such wild activities,” says Karanveer, who believes that participating in Khatron.. pushed him to test his own abilities of endurance and courage.

Besides,  overcoming fears and that too with his life partner was not the only thing that makes Karanveer go gaga over the show.

The presence of director Rohit Shetty as the host,  makes  the show special for him.

“ I believe Rohit will be the most sought-after anchor after this show. Though he is a star director, he never threw tantrums. He used to be there with us every time and push us really hard to complete the task,” he says.

Since Karanveer has worked in daily soaps, reality shows and films, he believes that every project taught him a lot.

“Daily soaps made me learn acting and reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Khatron...gave me the courage to test my own limits. Whatever project I have taken up I have tried to be honest to it. I put in a whole lot of effort so that the audience remembers my work. I don’t want to work simply for money,” he says.
