KSRTC collects Rs 9 lakh in fine

The KSRTC, as part of its monthly checking drive, has collected a fine of Rs 9,31,079 from passengers and Rs 1,09,845 as pilferage amount.

As part of its drive in March, 61,628 buses plying in the State and neighbouring states were checked.

A total of 8,641 passengers were penalised during the checking and Rs 9,31,079 collected as fine.

As many as 6,414 pilferage cases were detected and Rs 1,09,845 was collected.

Disciplinary action has been initiated against the erring staff, a press release from the corporation said.
