'CM's answer on mining issue height of foolishness'

Last Updated 06 December 2009, 16:54 IST

Speaking to presspersons on the sidelines of the inauguration of Annadharma, he said Union Minister for Mines has written letter to State government, urging him to hand over illegal mining case to CBI 14 times.

Several cases have been filed before  Environment and Forest department. However, the CM is adamant on only Lokayukta probe. Everything is being done to save his chair.

“Yeddyurappa is scared of the ‘power’ of Reddy brothers. As a result, he is backtracking from handing over illegal mining cases to CBI inquiry. Though Lokayukta has handed over its report to the government, no action has been taken so far.” In the MLC elections, Congress is contesting from 17 places and JD(S) from 4.  Congress will intensify its protest against corruption in the State, between December 7 and 9 in 26 districts, he said.
