Former minister and BJP leader C T Ravi said that the State government  which had announced compensation of Rs 10 lakh to Kabeer, who was killed in ANF firing at Thanikodu in Sringeri, has failed to announce compensation for Swathi, who was killed in a train blast at Chennai.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Saturday, he said that the move of the government seemed to strengthen the impression that the Congress government is following criminal and communal politics even when it comes to compensation for the deceased.

Initiating action against ANF cop for shooting at Kabeer, a cattle trader in Sringeri has demoralised the ANF personnel.

This will indirectly help in extending the tentacles of the Maoists network in the State.

He urged the government to declare compensation for a student who has suffered serious injuries following a bomb blast in front of the BJP office during the previous Assembly elections.

“Bureaucracy is not in coordination with the State government and this is evident in the affidavit that Principal Secretary of department of Personnel and Ddministrative Reforms Sanjiv Kumar filed before the High Court on constituting the Civil Services Board (CSB) and the Cabinet opposing the move.

The administration and development in Karnataka is in “coma state.”

The administration has been derailed following non coordination between officials and the ministers.

On the one hand social welfare minister Anjaneya has renovated the chamber in the heritage Vidhan Soudha building, on the other PWD Minister Mahadevappa has spent Rs two crore for renovating the official residence.

Here in DK district, Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Abhayachandra Jain has threatened a journalist. The ministers are acting as if they are in the “Nawab’s administration,” he said.

“The State government has failed in tackling severe drought in 140 taluks. Water crisis has affected each and every village.

Many districts are facing acute shortage of water. Governor H R Bhardwaj on Friday expressed his reservation about the State  government’s unpreparedness to mitigate drinking water shortage in summer and said he had told Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to take steps to “activate” the government, he said.

“Anna Bhagya rice is being illegally diverted, sold back to the State government and the government could not act against the defaulters.

The Home Minister is still in deep slumber and has failed to act.

Inspite of terror link to coastal district, no measures have been taken to make the coastal district safe,” Ravi added.

Raising the issue of vandalising toll booth at Brahmarakootlu, he accused the supporters of District-in-Charge Minister Ramanath Rai involved in the incident.

If Rai continues “Ravana Rajya in Dakshina Kannada,” then the BJP will have to start ‘Rai Hatao campaign’ in the district, he warned.

With the anti-Congress wave in the State, he expressed confidence of winning more than 20 seats in Karnataka.
