'Paddanas' in CD released

Journalist Shekhar Ajekaru released the CD, which consists of 12 Tulu epics including ‘Koti-Chennaiah,’ ‘Siri,’ ‘Kordabbu,’ ‘Ummaga Mayyaga,’ ‘Ati Kalenja,’ ‘Balindra Paddana,’ ‘Bobbarya,’ ‘Nagasiri,’ ‘Parathi Mangane,’ ‘Pilipanji’ and ‘Mankali Kunitha’.

Speaking on the occasion, Ajekaru said that the CD would enlighten people about the Tulu folklores. Lauding the efforts of Susheela Upadhyaya and U P Upadhyaya, Ajekaru said that the CD would highlight the values of Tulu folklores, which were confined to research centres, among people.

Producer of the Paddana Poomale, Radhakrishna Shetty said that the CD has been brought to the market with an objective to promote Tulu language and culture.
