Expressions take form

INITIATIVE

The aim is to articulate frameworks and directions for arts education in the country. Evelin Hurst, Director of Goethe-Institute, said, “Arts connect students to their own environment. We need to open our eyes to the forms of expression around us and since formal education tends to be centrally determined people tend to be cut off from valuing what is in their environment.”

Education needs to be richer, more meaningful and fun and the conference will produce a document on Arts education which will advocate ideas to implement this understanding.  The conference will be held on December 11 and 12 at The Chancery Pavilion, Residency Road.
