Two held for murder

The police arrested two people in connection with the murder of Hanumantha Kattimani, 30, who used to eke out a living by screening movies for schoolchildren in Gandhinagar, under the Upparpet police limits, on April 4.

According to the police, the arrested have been identified as Prasad (20) and Chandan Aaradhya (21). They were working as assistants to Kattimani who was found murdered at his house. A wire was found around his neck.

The suspects were working with Kattimani for about three years and had recently parted ways with him. The duo planned to kill Kattimani and loot the money he had accumulated. On April 4, they went to his house and choked him to death.
