Rocket Singh...

After giving two back-to-back hits (‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Ajab Prem Ki ...’), much is talked about Ranbir’s latest film Rocket Singh – Salesman of the year. The movie is about those people who somehow manage to pass with minimum marks and with no options left join the world of sales.

Harpreet Singh Bedi (Ranbir Kapoor), who manages to pass his B Com exam with just 38.72% marks, joins the marketing line.

However, getting such low marks does not stop him from dreaming big. He joins AYS sales company as a trainee and starts his journey in the marketing field. But all is not as smooth as he thought before joining the company. Very soon his ideas clash with professionals and bosses he looked up to.

Then he decides to start his own company – Rocket Sales Corporation – to teach his boss a lesson.

Guess why he chose the name ‘Rocket’ for his company? Just because his colleagues used to throw paper rockets at him in the office and make fun of him! Ranbir Kapoor seems to have missed a hat-trick of giving back-to-back hits.

With a cast like Ranbir Kapoor, Shazahn Padamsee, Gauhar Khan, Sharon Prabhakar and Prem Chopra, Rocket Singh… was expected to be a super-hit from director Shimit Amin.
But unfortunately a poor story line spoils the show. “Risk toh Spiderman ko bhi leni padta hai, main toh phir bhi salesman hu,” says Ranbir in the movie. Seems director Shimit Amin has taken a big risk to ‘sell his product’.
