Newly elected MP Prathap Simha has said that he was happy over the victory in the election. However, the expectations of the voters have created fear in the mind.

“The elected representatives and MLAs should work with me in fulfilling the promises.”

Speaking at a felicitation programme organised by the Kodagu BJP unit here on Saturday, he said “the reason for the victory is Narendra Modi. India will be on the path of development under his leadership.

If I fail as a MP, then the Modi-led NDA government will also fail. I will try to fulfill the expectations and aspirations of the voters.”

The BJP workers should work towards the victory of its candidates in the forthcoming gram panchayat and taluk panchayat elections.

MLA K G Bopaiah said “the BJP has to face a challenge     ahead.

There are all chances of miscreants sowing the seeds of hatred.”  MLA M P Appachu Ranjan also spoke.

Earlier, the MP was taken out in a procession from Banni Mantapa to General Thimmaiah Circle. The party workers observed Vijayotsava by distributing sweets and bursting crackers.
District BJP unit President Suja Kushalappa, leaders Sunil Subramani among others were present.
