Man held for assaulting brother

A 34-year-old man was assaulted by his younger brother in AK Colony in Domlur under Ulsoor police limits on Friday night.

According to police, Shankar, 34 and his younger brother Shivashekar, 32, were neighbours at AK Colony in Domlur and worked as daily wage workers.

On Friday night, they started arguing over petty issues in an inebriated state.

When things went out of hand, Shivashekar, took a machete and hit Shankar on his head.

Hearing his screams, neighbours came out and saw Shankar lying in a pool of blood and rushed him to a nearby hospital.

His condition is said to be stable and currently out of danger.

The police have arrested Shivashekar and have registered a case.
