Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would take a decision on whether or not to order a CBI probe into the death of former rural development minister Gopinath Munde.
“I spoke to the prime minister and Munde’s family. It is the prime minister who will decide the proper course of action in the matter and truth will prevail,” Gadkari said.
Munde, a popular backward class leader from Maharashtra, died due to shock and haemorrhage following injuries to his neck and liver after a road accident in Delhi on June 3.
Various political leaders have been demanding a CBI probe to rule out any foul play.
