“I had no formal training in dance but it was always something I enjoyed doing from a small age itself,” says Tharun, who mainly dances for Western or filmi numbers.

Tharun says, academically, he was an average student who had a competitive streak in him. “I used to attend a lot of competitions in college and enjoyed subjects like maths and science but I did end up taking commerce in college,” he adds. But acting was never on the agenda, “Actually my plans kept changing. I had first planned to become an airforce pilot and then as I grew, my attention was towards becoming a software engineer. Now I am glad I am an actor,” he explains. Having studied in MES College, Tharun says that between his studies and extracurricular activities, he maintained a good balance. “I made it a point to give space to my dance and I also loved cricket but I don't think I ever had shortage of attendance,” he says.
