More seats to be added to seat matrix

 Even as the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) issued a release on Tuesday claiming that seats from various universities and colleges had been added to the CET seat matrix, a few parents and students claimed otherwise. 

Karnataka Examination Authority, Executive Director, Rame Gowda said that the files pertaining to the matter were still with the government and that all the seats would be added by Thursday. 

Seats still missing

Mohan Revaday, a parent who was busy with the process of entering options for his son on Wednesday, found that the engineering seats of institutions like PES group of Institutions, REVA University and JSS Mysore were still missing from the seat matrix. 

“My son wants to study BE in computer science and we were looking for engineering seats in REVA University but were not able to find them. Later I checked seats of PES University and JSS and even these I could not find,” he said

Added to seat matrix

According to a KEA press release issued on Wednesday, 250 more engineering seats from Cauvery Institute of Technology, Mandya (150 seats) and Jain Acharaya Institute of Technology, Jamakhandi (90 seats) were added to the seat matrix.

By 6 pm on Wednesday a total of 67,204 candidates had entered as many as 33,44,599 options, with engineering having the highest number of options entered at 27,52,033.
