The government has appointed Dr T N Prakash Kammaradi as Chairman of Karnataka Agriculture Price Commission.
The government has appointed as commission’s members — Hanumanagoud Belagurki, Narasimappa (both representing farmers), Agriculture Department Principal Secretary, Co-operation Department Principal Secretary and Agriculture Department Commissioner (Member secretary), according to an official notification. Prof Kammaradi, till March this year, had worked at University of Agricultural Sciences.
The term of the chairman is for three years. The role of the commission is to get remunerative prices to farmers, according to Kammaradi.
