Serving the flavours of both North and South India, Chakh Leh India, a vegetarian restaurant in Nagarbhavi, is an ideal place to stop at if one is looking for a variety of options. With the food here being affordable, one can easily try out different dishes.
This restaurant, which started about three years ago, has cuisines ranging from South Indian and North Indian to Chinese and items varying from dosas and idlis to rotis and kulchas and different North Indian gravies.
“We wanted to offer a lot of options for the customer. Also, since we are from the North and our restaurant is located in the South, itis always best to suit everyone’s taste,” says Karan Singh, the owner of the place.
With items on the menu starting from Rs 30, the restaurant is light on anyone’s pocket. “For regular footfall, one has to serve a variety of items which are hygienic yet reasonable,” he vouches.
There are also different South Indian and North Indian combos to choose from. “We have different roti, naan and paratha combinations which come with a refreshing drink,” says Karan. Varying from spring rolls, paneer chilli and mushroom noodles to veg fried rice, there are many affordable options for the lovers of Chinese food too.Highlighting the specials on the menu, Karan says that dishes like veg patiala and desserts like kulfi falooda are items one must go for.
“Our fastest selling items include Punjabi and North Indian dishes with breads and gravies,” he says.
Ask the owner about the unique name of the place and he says that Chakh Leh in Punjabi means to ‘come and savour’ and that this is an invitation for everyone to come and enjoy the different flavours offered at the restaurant.
The crowd at the restaurant is a mix of students and professionals. “We get people from all across the City. There are families who frequent us. And since we have a self-service section as well as a fine dining section, there is space for everyone,” says the owner.
Karan also says that his restaurant is open to changes. “There are people who come and ask for variants of one particular dish and we make them accordingly. We are open to serving the customers according to their preferences,” points out Karan.Chakh Leh India is open from 7 am to 11 pm.
