Subramanya student gets 38 more marks after re-totalling

Yet another bloomer in SSLC valuation
Last Updated 23 May 2009, 17:10 IST

The bloomers in valuation of SSLC answer scripts continue to surface in the district.
In a fresh case, Raksha P R, a student of Subrahmanya Kumaraswamy School was shocked to see her marks when the results were announced recently. Though she was expecting good marks in Hindi, her marks card mentioned only 55 marks in Hindi.
Realising that there must have been some mistake in valuation, she applied for the photostat copy of the answer script. To her surprise, she found that she had scored 93 marks. But, the valuator had not entered the marks of the first part and second part of the answer script properly. Instead, the valuator had entered only the marks of the second part. After the re-totalling, she scored 594/625 and stands first in the school and fourth in the taluk.
Raksha P R is the daughter of Enekallu Pundigadde Regappa Gowda and Anitha.
