Hirekere will be developed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.60 crore. Once Hirekere could store 126.15 million gallon water. After undertaking desilting, 172.16 million gallon water is being stored, which will be enough to supply water to Koppa town throughout the year.

Jeevaraj said between 1992 and 1998, Koppa town has received Rs 63.23 lakh fund.  A footpath will be constructed at Balagadi road. The work will commence in January.

“Those who can not withstand developmental works are making baseless allegations against us. Development works will be undertaken at any cost. No illegal activities have been undertaken at Panchamikallu. I will visit the spot to verify the truth,” he added.
