Roads damaged in Chikka Begur

The roads in Chikka Begur area in the vicinity of BCR Public School and Data Template Company are in urgent need of repairs. There is hardly any stretch of the road that is in good condition.

Pedestrians are at the risk of being hit by the vehicles travelling on the narrow roads. As the roads connect Begur Road, Begur Lake, Manipal County Road and Chikka Begur area, the stretch witnesses heavy traffic leading to congestion during peak hours.

BBMP does not seem to pay attention to the complaints highlighted through media columns. The Palike authorities should initiate action against officers in charge of Begur area roads.

Late-running Hampi Express putting passengers to hardship

The Bangalore-Hubli Hampi Express runs late habitually. The late arrival and departure of the express train has been causing inconvenience to passengers.

Hundreds of workers who use the train on weekends to commute from Bangalore to work places in Bellary, Torangal and Hospet are particularly affected. The train also halts at a particular station for inadvertently long spells. Besides, the increase in passenger traffic on this route warrants the introduction of one more train.

Will the authorities of the South Western Railways and the Railway Ministry ensure that the train sticks to its timings and take steps to introduce another train?

Roads blocked for traffic

This is to bring to the notice of the authorities concerned that it has become
extremely difficult for people to tread or drive on the road opposite Sobha Apartments on Tumkur Road, near 8th Mile, Nagasandra. Around 900 families reside in Sobha apartments.

People travelling towards Jalahalli Cross have to take the service road up to 8th
Mile from Deepak bus stop, as the three adjacent roads on this route are perpetually closed by dividers.

This causes a lot of delay as people from both directions have to take this service
road. The congestion on the road may lead to accidents. Hope the authorities concerned will open the double road opposite Sobha Apartments gates and pave way for safe travelling.

Shift BMTC bus stop

The JP Nagar 6th Phase bus stop is situated on 80 Feet Ring Road. As traffic movement from Kanakapura Road Junction is heavy, it is causing inconvenience to both motorists and BMTC commuters.

Most of the buses are halted on the main road, thereby occupying a major portion of the road causing traffic snarls. It is requested to consider an alternative location to halt buses which terminate at JP Nagar 6th Phase. This will ensure smooth traffic on the 80 Feet Ring Road.

Introduce BMTC buses

Kaggadasapura is not well connected by BMTC buses. Buses via C V Raman Nagar, Baiyyappanahalli, KR Puram Railway Station, Marathahalli, Basavanagar, HAL, BEML Gate,
Vignana Nagar and back to Kaggadasapura would be of immense help for the
public.

Sewage line choked

The sewage line in 2nd Cross, RBI Colony, Jayanagar, III Block East is choked. Free flow in the sanitary line is obstructed leading to rise in the level of sewage in the sanitary chambers. Despite several complaints the problem is not resolved. Manholes in the road overflow during heavy rains depositing filth with foul smell which may lead to health hazard. The BWSSB is requested to resolve the issues on priority.

Roads in pathetic state

The roads at Graphite India Junction and Kundalahalli Gate are filled with potholes and are terribly damaged, affecting movement of vehicles. It takes more than an hour to cross this 3.5-km stretch. This is causing a lot of inconvenience to people who cross these junctions.

The traffic policemen are also finding it difficult to manage vehicular movement here. It should be realized that Bangalore, especially, Whitefield and ITPL, which is a major part of IT hub, should not be in such a pathetic state.

The elected representatives and the officials concerned are requested to take action on priority basis.

Road work at a snail’s pace

The road connecting Tumkur Road (beside CMTI) to HMT factory and township is in a very bad shape.  The work on laying the road which began a year ago, has been progressing at a slow pace. This is the main connecting road from Tumkur Road to Jalahalli, Vidyaranyapura, Yelahanka and also to Kempegowda International Airport, since the adjacent MES ring road is in a bad shape. The gravel laid on this road is almost gone, leading to craters and potholes.

Will the authorities concerned speed up the road work in the interest of motorists?

Restore road in KR Layout

Recently, the roads in KR Layout, JP Nagar, 6th Phase, were dug up to lay sewage lines and the contractor has not restored the road. This is causing inconvenience to the residents, especially children, senior citizens and the differently abled in the area. Tyres of the vehicles often get punctured due to the presence of sharp stones.
