A chain of stringed beats

He created amazing music with his drums. The feet of the audience were tapping constantly to the beats. He played different types of drums and also a mouth instrument which he played in sync with his drums.

The crowd waited anxiously for Strings to come on stage and when they did, they set the stage on fire! The well behaved crowd suddenly broke loose and got onto their feet screaming and shouting for more. The Strings sang some of their hot favourites like Anjaane, the Spiderman OST, Aaj badal, Aakri alvida from Shootout at Lokhandwala, title track of the movie Zinda and on audience request they sang Dur, the song which got them to the same league as other famous bands. Faisal and Bilal both took turns in the singing songs. They were also accompanied by a drummer, a pianist, a base guitarist and also a lead guitarist. Bilal was also strumming the guitar.

“I’m so excited because I saw Bilal. He looks so cute and I really love his voice. I have seen Strings earlier also and I just can’t get enough of them. I want them to keep coming back ever year,” exclaimed Deepti, a fan of Strings.

They also sang various other Hindi film songs which included Koi kahe from Dil Chahta Hai, Om shanti om from Karz, and Pyaar karne wale from the movie Shaan. They concluded their act with Dhaani, a song which they dedicated to all the women in the City. The audience Kept cheering them throughout the gig and got them back on to the stage to perform again. They then sang Damadam Mast Kalandar, a popular Sufi number.

DJ Whosane came in next and belted out remixed versions of popular Hindi songs and kept the crowd on their feet. “The entire atmosphere is like an open disco and the music is awesome. Habba gets bigger and better every year. I’m enjoying myself totally,” said Mahesh who was at the event.
