Uncertainty over finalising the land for construction of district administration complex has been resolved and it has been decided to build the complex at Padil.

Delivering Independence Day address at Nehru Maidan on Friday, District-in-Charge Minister B Ramanath Rai declared that it has been planned to construct the full-fledged district administration complex which aims at providing all government services to the people under one roof, at Padil.

As many as 22,659 applications have been received so far in the district, seeking regularisation of houses, he said.

“The government has distributed a compensation of Rs 29 crore to help 44,850 agriculturists who have incurred loss due to fruit rot disease affecting their areca plants.
A new system has been introduced in the form of revenue adalats at gram panchayat level to solve the errors in RTC.

This system helps the farmers at large. A sum of Rs 2.60 crore worth work under development of naxal-affected areas has been completed in the district,” Rai said.
Further, he said that Rs one crore has been released for the construction of Abbakka Bhavan and an additional Rs 20 lakh for the construction of Gadi Bhavan.
