JOIN USThe walls of the small garage reverberated as the music sank into every concrete pore as Sonido Musicals hosted another session of ‘Garage Jam’, where the annual edition of ‘August Rush’ recently took place.
Bands across various genres came together for the jam. Aathma, Suryagrahan, ‘Cardio’ and ‘D’s Kitchen’ were some of the bands at the event.
Abhi, a member of Cardio, said, “We started our band a year and a half ago and this is our second gig at Garage Jam. We are all self-made artistes and want to expand our musical skill.” While Abhi plays the rhythms, Bharath is on the drums and Vishal on lead vocals. They played songs titled ‘Flames’, ‘Peace’, ‘Climate’, and ‘Bring out the sorrow’. They said they are inspired by ‘Metallica’, Slash, ‘Lamb of God’ and Joe Satriani.
“We enjoy the experience of going on stage and how it feels when it we are playing. We started playing in college and continued after that. Now we play all over the country and place in competitions all over,” said Anto Philip, the rhythms guitarist of Aathma.
