Prajwal to face Kashyap for title

Savio, Manjunath win doubles crown

Dev eased past Antony Savio 6-2, 6-3 while Kashyap too had little trouble against Harsha Manjunath beating him 6-4, 6-3 in the semifinals at the KSLTA courts.

Dev took the first set 6-2 before sealing the second 6-3 for a comprehensive win. However, the semifinal losers Savio and Manjunath avenged their defeats as the pair combined to edge out Prajwal and Kashyap to clinch the under-14 doubles crown.

Savio and Manjunath rallied past Dev and Kashyap 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 in the final. Savio-Manjunath lost the opening set 4-6 but fought back to level the game after clinching the second 6-4. In a hard fought decider, Savio and Manjunath held their nerve to eke out a 10-8 victory.

U-14 (semifinals): Shloka Kumar bt Rishika V 6-2, 6-0; Anjali Jaindan (Ker) bt Shikha N Singh 6-1, 6-1.

Doubles (final): Abhipsa Rath/ Tanya Singh bt Abinkka/ Anjali Jaindhan 9-1.
