The BJP will revive its fight against the state government over the irregularities in Arkavathi Layout next month with an internal committee of the party headed by former minister Suresh Kumar finalising its report over the alleged illegal denotifications.

Addressing a press meet here on Tuesday, BJP State President Pralhad Joshi said that the party was collecting sufficient tangible proof of illegalities to nail the state government. “The report is being finalised and will be made public on November 6. We will take the issue to its logical end”, Joshi said.

Joshi said even KPCC President G Parameshwara in his media interviews had stated that people had become suspicious of the State government following reports of illegal denotification in Arkavathi Layout. He said that the law and order in the State had plummeted to a new low and sought that Home Minister K J George be dropped from the Cabinet.

“ The party will launch its membership drive in December with a target to enrol 50 lakh members in two months. We will ask former minister Umesh Katti not to issue statements on division of the State. We are ready to entrust Katti with the responsibility of leading the efforts to remove regional imbalance if he comes forward,” Joshi said.
