Man held for killing wife

 Police have arrested a man for murdering his wife over a petty issue in Ramanagaram on Thursday.

Lokesh, a resident of Kanakapura Circle, had married Bharathi, 28, three years ago. The couple have an eight-month-old baby girl.

Police said the couple quarrelled frequently. On Thursday, they argued over attending a relative’s wedding reception. Lokesh dropped his daughter at his sister’s house and returned home to confront his wife.

During an argument, Lokesh lost his cool, strangulated Bharathi and fled. Based on an account given by the neighbours, police registered a case and arrested Lokesh on Friday from RMC Yard, where he was hiding.
