The Association of People with Disability (APD) is hosting the ‘Annual Garden Fair’ from November 14  to 23, from 9 am to 6 pm, at the Association of People with Disability, The Horticulture Training Unit, No 9th 'B' Main, Cross, LIC Colony, HAL 3rd Stage, Jeevanbhimanagar.

The fair will have a 10-day sale of exotic flowering, indoor and outdoor plants, in addition to ornamental plants, fruit sapling, medicinal plants, edible herbs and attractive garden artefacts.

The event will be inaugurated by Chris Rao, vice president, UTC Aerospace Systems on November 14, 9.30 am.

Since 1959, APD has been working with people with disabilities with the sole objective of making them functionally and financially independent.

This is done through education and vocational training and livelihood programmes.

Since the organisation is in the area of disability healthcare, therapy and mobility aids are integrated to these pillar programmes.

The horticultural training, conducted by APD for the past 26 years is of immense value, in today’s environmentally-conscious world.
