Apthamitra's death triggers big search on Google

Among the top 20 Google searches from Bangalore on December 30, as many as 13 were related to Vishnuvardhan and his demise.

Google Trends, which recorded the percentage of hot searches for December 30, 2009, online has termed the number of hits as “Volcanic” for his name search.

 But the highest number of hits recorded by Google Trends from Bangalore at 2 pm, the peak hour, was on Abhiman Studios. Nearly 79 per cent of net users in the city were searching for it. The search for his photographs was placed at 72 per cent at 11 am, being the peak hour.

His news and photographs received hits even from neighbouring metros such as Chennai. Nearly five per cent of the netizens from that city were searching for Vishnuvardhan’s pictures and news on his death at 9 am.
