Formed in 2011, ‘The Incredible MindFunk’ is a band from Delhi. A funk rock and psychedelic band with soaring melodies, they will perform at the ‘Strawberry Fields, 2014’. They were the winners of Strawberry Fields, 2013 and were nominated for the Jack Daniels Annual Rock Award for ‘Best Emerging Act’.

The band comprises Siddhant Agarwal on guitar, Amar Pandey on bass and Karan Malik on drums. Illina Gandhi is their newest member, taking over vocals from Amira Gill. The band was formed when Amar, Siddhant and Karan started working on a Jimi Hendrix tribute show. It was during the jamming sessions that they realised that they shared a common passion. The band then released its debut album ‘Absolutely Essential’ in June 2013. The band doesn’t believe in sticking to music that is genre specific. They love experimenting and explain, “Music can't have an aim according to us. We're just hoping that people enjoy it, and that it helps them think in a different way.”

When asked about what they felt like having won India’s  biggest grassroots music festival, they say, “It feels pretty good!” They go on to add that they were proud to share the stage with talented musicians like ‘Clown With a Frown’, ‘Junkyard Groove’, ‘Verses’ etc. The members say that they look up to a lot of the bands that have won before them at Strawberry Fields.

They further add that they enjoyed their experience at Strawberry Fields last year. “It's probably one of the best shows we've played at,” they exclaim. “The crowd really seemed to dig our music, which is the best feeling when you are on stage. The sound was great. It was the best sound system we've played on,” they add. When asked about how they see the show playing a role in the careers of budding musical acts, they say that it provides a great platform for young musicians. The Bangalore crowd, they say, is so responsive that it feels like home.
