Prajwal Revanna, son of senior JD(S) leader H D Revanna, has alleged that an unknown person has created a fake Facebook profile in his name and his mother Bhavani’s name.
Briefing reporters, he said, he learnt about the fake Facebook profiles after close friends drew his attention to it.
He said he immediately sent an online request to Facebook asking them to block the two pages.

“The miscreant had posted recent pictures of him taken in public meetings making it look real. His profile was used to send lewd comments to girls and more than 1,400 people were on the friend list,” he said.
“I use social media platform to post my political opinions and not for other purposes. I plan to approach cyber crime police station and lodge a complaint,” he added.
Incidentally, a few months ago, former Sagar MLA Belur Gopalkrishna’s daughter had lodged a complaint with the RT Nagar police, stating that her Facebook ID and photo have been misused by one of her friends.
