Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president G Parameshwara on Thursday urged opposition BJP to make use of the upcoming winter session of State Legislature, scheduled to be held in Belagavi from December 9, to discuss problems faced by north Karnataka people.

In a press release, issued here on Thursday, he has stated that BJP leaders should drop their plan to stage a protest in front of the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha (SVS) where the session will be held. Instead, they should discuss about the development of Hyderabad-Karnataka region.

There is a need for serious debate on regional imbalance and problems faced by sugar cane farmers, Parameshwara has stated. There are other forums to fight for political issues but the session should not be used for this purpose. “There is no law and order problem as charged. Corruption charges against any minister have not been proved. Opposition parties should drop their plan to protest,” the KPCC chief stated.
