Photos of incompetent teachers to be put on web portal

Minister of State for Primary and Secondary Education Kimmane Ratnakar has warned that photographs of incompetent teachers will be put up on the website of the department.

“The competent authority should send the list of teachers working in government schools for the past five years, along with the details, including teaching skills, efficiency and the performance of the school in exams.

“Based on the list, photographs of incompetent teachers will be uploaded on the website of the department,” he said.

Review meeting

Chairing a progress review meeting of the Education department, the minister expressed his displeasure over the style of functioning of some teachers and the officials of the department.

He suggested that the block education officers should enlist the performance of government schoolteachers and submit it to the ministry.

Rs 15 crore grant

The minister said that a grant of Rs 15 crore will be released for the repair of computers distributed to government high schools under Mahiti Sindhu scheme.
