He was 39.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Shivakumar is survived by wife Jayalakshmi and three-year-old daughter Sahitya.<br />He had been deputed to cover the proceedings of the ongoing winter session of the State Legislature in Belagavi.<br /><br />Shivakumar had earlier worked with Deccan Herald and Mid-Day dailies.<br /><br />House condoles death<br /><br />The Legislative Assembly on Monday condoled the death of Justice V R Krishna Iyer, journalist N D Shivakumar and former legislators N B Venkatesh and Mohammed Saifuddin.<br /><br />Chief Minister Siddaramaiah described as unfortunate the death of Shivakumar. “He was young and had a bright career. His untimely demise has caused immense loss to the field of journalism,” he said.<br /><br />The Legislative Council, too, condoled the death of Iyer and Shivakumar.</p>
