Most of the victims of the terror attack at Peshawar's Army Public School were shot in head from point blank range by the militants, a media report said Tuesday.

"They scaled the boundary wall from the adjacent graveyard and started  firing while moving towards the classrooms and auditorium," said a student, Dawn online reported.

A large number of students gathered in the auditorium to receive first aid training when the attack took place.

"Most of the students received bullets in the head," said provincial information minister Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani at Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) Wednesday.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak announced compensation of Rs.500,000 for the kin of deceased and Rs 200,000 for the injured. Three-day mourning was also announced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
