The BMS College for Women, in association with Karnataka Nataka Academy, organised a day-long event titled ‘Nataka Rasagrahana Shibira’ recently at the college campus.

The theatre workshop, organised by the college cultural forum, saw the inaugural address and special lectures that introduced students to the nuances of theatre.

The students watched the play after an introduction given by Lakshmi Chandrashekhar and N Mangala. ‘Agnivarna’, a  Kannada play that was staged for the students, helped them  look at life in a new way. They learnt a great deal about acting, lighting, make-up, and also about the cultural and social context of the play.

It was overall an enthralling experience for all the students taking part in the workshop.
