Christmas Bazaar for art buffs in Delhi

Art Attack

Festivities in the City got an artistic touch with a Christmas Art bazaar called J.o.S.H. That stands for Joy of Sharing. Held at Hotel Le-Meridien in association with Art Laureate, the bazaar presented shopping options with an accent on aesthetics. It included a variety of apparel, jewellery, accessories and home decor items.

The bazaar had stunning fashion accessories like neckpieces, earrings and headgear from  jewellery brand Adora. Decorative items appropriate for Christmas festivity were also put up for sale.

Traditional jootis with a modern touch by Fizzy Goblet, interesting card holders, laptop bags, shoes, slippers and other items of  personal use from January Rose were some of the products that attracted buyers. Deities like Buddha, Krishna, Ganesha painted on containers, plates, trays and tea kettles were some of the other fascinating products put for sale.

Gorgeous silverware, great as gifts this festive season, was also available. Another notable stall had different sizes and types of notebooks made out of recycled cotton covers and eco-friendly paper with some exquisite art on the cover. Designer wear from labels like Nay-ked, Anu P.D, Ajjuni by Ravleen was available
for shopaholics.

“We went around Delhi and handpicked the artists from Khan Market, Hauz Khas, Meherchand market, basically all the nooks and corners of Delhi,” says Sangeeta Pereira, co-owner of Art Laureate.

“We were looking for people who do unique stuff which is handy and creative. We wanted to have an exclusive platform and this is the brainchild of my partner Isha singh, myself and Meena Bhatia of Meridien Hotel who have tied up to build up this platform,” she added.

Different types of abstract figurines were also available as attractive home decor options. A musical performance by a band added to the overall cheerful ambience of the place.
