Attractive procession adds colour to Sammelan

The procession which began from Napoklu old taluk concluded at the Government College premises. There was festive mood in Napoklu. Kannada flags were seen all over.

The procession was flagged off by Zilla Panchayat member Bovveriyanda Raghu Acchaiah by firing in the air. SHG members holding kalasha, school children, ‘Kapala nrithya,’ ‘Veeragase,’ ‘Patada kunitha,’ ‘Dollu kunitha,’ ‘Bhoothada kola’ added attraction to the procession.  The tableux on Onake Obavva, ‘Maduve mantapa’ of Kodavas, children dressed as famous poets, various government schemes attracted the attention of the people. The procession was carried out for nearly two kilometres in which hundreds of school children took part.

KSP district President T P Ramesh, convener Manumuthappa, Madikeri taluk KSP President K T Baby Mathew also took part in the procession.
