'Hiremath's claims false'

The Art of Living has said that the allegations made by social activist S R Hiremath that it had encroached upon a lake in survey number 46 of Kaggalipura on the outskirts of the City were false and baseless.

Referring to a statement of Hiremath in Hubballi, published in these columns recently, the Art of Living said a public interest litigation filed in this regard by Bengaluru resident N Srirama Reddy was dismissed by the High Court on Nov 14.

“The contentions raised in the petition are not at all substantiated by satisfactory material. We are of the opinion that there is no merit in the petition and hence the petition is dismissed,” a bench comprising Chief Justice D H Waghela and Justice R B Budihal had noted.
