JOIN USThe third death anniversary of former chief minister S Bangarappa was observed at Bangara Dhama by S Bangarappa Foundation in the presence of his family members and followers here on Friday.
MLA Madhu Bangarappa said he would continue to be the voice of the oppressed classes and serve people of the taluk. “My father struggled for the welfare of the downtrodden till his last breath, irrespective of whether he was in power or not,” he said.
Citing an example, he said his father had distributed sowing seeds to the farmers free of charge in 2001 when the district was facing drought.
Speaking on the occasion, actor Shivraj Kumar hinted that he will not join politics under any circumstance.
MLA Malikayya Guttedar, former union minister Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, JD(S) leader H T Baligar, Geetha Shivraj Kumar, Sujata Tilak Kumar and Anita Madhu Bangarappa were present.
