<p>As part of expanding its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, IT services major Infosys will focus on the Americas by making available quality computer science education to communities in the region. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Infosys Foundation, USA, a philanthropic arm of the company, will spearhead the programme, Infosys said in a statement on Tuesday. <br /><br />Besides the initial outlay of $5 million (over Rs 31.6 crore) per annum, the company also appointed Sudha Murthy, Vandana Sikka and Sandeep Dadlani as the trustees of the Infosys Foundation, USA.<br /><br />“The Infosys Foundation has always supported the cause of promoting quality education and empowering individuals. I am confident that we will leverage the Infosys Foundation’s experience in India of imparting technical education to enhance employability,” Murthy, who is also the Chairperson of Infosys Foundation, said.</p>
