<p>One person was today arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) of Kolkata Police from Bongaon area in North 24 Parganas district for allegedly making a threat call to the city office of Air India.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Prasanta Biswas (35), a resident of Bongaon, was arrested for making the call to Air India's city office yesterday and he is presently being interrogated, city police sources said.<br /><br />A special team set up which comprises officers of the STF and the detective department was tracking the number from which the call was made to the national carrier's city office, a senior police officer had earlier said.<br /><br />Meanwhile, security was beefed up at the NSC Bose International Airport here following the anonymous telephone call threatening that an Air India plane would be hijacked.<br /><br />Dog squad has been pressed into service in and around the terminal buildings while all luggage was manually checked beside the normal scanning procedures.<br /><br />Airport officials said the policemen were keeping a close vigil on the airport's taxi stand and nearby areas.<br /><br />The threat call was received at the state-carrier's city booking office at around 5.40 PM yesterday and a complaint was subsequently lodged with the Bowbazar police station.</p>
