4 die in accident near C'durga

Seven persons including the driver were injured and are being treated at District Government Hospital in Chitradurga.

The dead have been identified as B S Kallalli (40), Mahantesh Goravar (40), R R Chappalli (41) and R F Chapaganvi (44). The six injured are Ashok Doddavada, Chandrashekar, Sangamesh, Babu Imamsaheb, Basavanna and Veerabharadrappa.

The police said the dead and injured were all residents of Bailahongala in Belgaum and employees of Hescom. They were on their way to Bangalore to attend the two-day Employees’ Association meeting on January 6 and 7. The SUV which left Belgaum around 5 pm on Tuesday met an accident at around 00.45 am near Chitradurga, police added.
