Gandhian activists have decided to revive Khudai Khidmatgar, the organisation which fought fierce communalism of Muslim League during independence struggle under the leadership of Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan. The activists have selected 100 districts across the country to establish the organisation.

The districts where units of Khudai  Khidmatgar will be established include Ahmedabad, Kheda, Mehsana, Vadodara, Surat, Junagarh (Gujarat), Satara, Jalgaon, Pune ( Maharashtra),  Udaipur, Bikaner and Jaipur(Rajasthan).

The revival process was initiated at Sabarmati Ashram where the first unit started on Tuesday on the eve of 27th anniversary of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, popularly known as Frontier Gandhi. Members took ten-point oath of Khudai Khidmatgar.

“Khudai Khidmatgar was actually revived in 2011. People are joining this non-violent movement for peace, justice and progress in India,” says Gandhian activist Madhuresh.
